Check your detector batteries this weekend!

As we prepare to “spring ahead” this weekend, it is also recommended that you change your smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarm batteries.

NFPA reports that functioning smoke detectors can help cut fatalities in structure fires by almost half; and should be placed inside each bedroom, outside each sleeping area and on every level of the home, including the basement. On levels without bedrooms, install alarms in the living room (or den or family room) or near the stairway to the upper level, or in both locations.

Please contact us if you have any questions regarding smoke alarms or CO alarms.
